Please don’t ask for free art. It’s just not cool and you get rants like this made because of you.

But please, please! Show respect to the artists you love and understand the amount of time and work that goes into their work. A lot of us will work with you if you want a commission and can’t afford our usual pricing. We’re artists. We know what it’s like to be in a rough financial spot.

I am ALWAYS thankful and appreciative knowing people enjoy my art. I started drawing more often because I wanted to make people laugh, smile, or take them out of reality for even just a moment as they scrolled through Instagram. So to anyone that enjoys my art, thank you. It means the world to me.

I don’t mind doing free art sometimes, but it’s for one of two reasons:

1. You are a loved one/close friend and I’m doing it as a gift or a favor.

2. It’s fan art for someone whose character I think is cool.

There might be some other reason but those are the big two.

Yeah the up-close one was mainly just to show how the "pixels" worked since they almost react like an actual TV screen. I wouldn't wanna have my face pressed up that close either.
