Long night indeed 🌚, implemented a first pass of the capture cinematic when the ghost gets too close to you. When caught, you wake up inside a bathroom which acts as a safe zone. 😱

Wrote a custom #UEFN AI using #Verse, state machine with randomized patterns based on the progress of the game's objective. Also prototyped a sight-jacking system inspired by Sirent/Slitterhead👀

I've been iterating on multiple systems built on #Verse to handle gameplay and puzzles for our #UEFN horror game, most puzzles are randomized, and each playthrough will feel somewhat unique.

Only a few more puzzles left, then spooky AI, story pass, polish/juice pass and it should be ready to ship!🥳

Did some look dev on the exterior area of the school, the players have to search for an item in these props that spawns randomly in predefined spots to open the school's front entrance. 🛠️

in the .uplugin you should be able to add "Plugins": [...] and add dependent plugins to get rid of dependency warnings, then make sure the PrivateDependencyModuleNames or PublicDependencyModuleNames have the modules you're using, GameplayTags is a module while GameplayAbilities is a plugin

Here's how I use the audio volumes, I change the mesh of the device to something smaller. I make the volume a child of the device, and then I make sure the references are set on the details panel, since the math uses RELATIVE transforms, make sure the forward X is pointing to where you need it.

I keep my audio players tightly coupled to the audio manager if they are not attenuated/spatialized.

audio_manager_device looks up all audio_volume_device by tag and registers them to the manager, so we can easily manage the audio players. There's some project-specific code here, such as unique sounds I always want to have a reference, in case I need to play them directly.

This method makes audio zones much easier to handle.

You start with the audio_volume_device, which wraps around a volume_device for overlaps and has an array of sounds to play when AgentExitsEvent fires. Depending on the direction it exits, it will play different sounds.
