A research team led by Prof. María Teresa Pisabarro (BIOTEC/ @tudresden.bsky.social) and Dr. Jörg Mansfeld (ICR) developed small molecules that block cell cycle. The molecules show promise as leads for future cancer therapies.

💧 Easing the Pressure: new publication in Developmental Cell by the Honigmann group.

The team found new role for tight junctions during organ development. Tight junctions relax the cytoskeleton to reduce tension between cells and let water inflate the tissue.
