I think its not cool because the girls are often given quite mediocre scripts, and the girls are not exactly given a lot of time for character study, but this one I do think had a pretty ok script that the girls also knew how to use well

I was watching Dropout and sometimes Brian will say something like DC 10 to get this person to hear you DC 15 to get them on your side immediately, and I feel like that's a pretty simple way of doing it that would not change the rules as is, and it basically just needs to be introduced as a option

Maybe they don't need to have a sudden inexplicable increase in IQ, but they could decipher some of the text, maybe they happened to remember some symbols from a time they travelled with a scholar, or through some mystic property of the tablet they are able to read without translating, etc.

Is it more immersion breaking to be reminded that your character you chose to make dumb is too dumb to do the smart action right now, than it is watching a nat 20, something you know means in game you did very well at what you were trying to do, results in you don't doing good at all?
