Also I love how the event emphasized that, while technical skill is important, being able to create art that truly connects with the viewer because you aren't forcing yourself into a box is crucial

Both Kanade and Ena have felt as if the art they make is something that's an obligation rather than a choice; for the former it's all about the Guilt™️ and for the latter she literally says "what am I without art". Having an event about finding joy in your work is so important and I love it so much

FOR REAL LIKE.... I was telling a friend about it last night that being able to see Ena actively enjoying the act of creation instead of just feeling like it's something she has to do hit different. Even cooler that they had Kanade play an important part in the story as well

syudou (end5 "in the back room") and TOOBOE (end4 "tablet") are also some of the people they brought on, just listing them from the top of my head. TOOBOE only recently went back to making vocaloid after being comm'd for the game Project Sekai, but syudou still consistently makes vocaloid on his own

From there I think Kanade eventually comes to accept the fact that she's a system. It's a process of adjusting to it and unlearning bad habits about subconsciously trying to ignore/repress the system but she figures it out

She would totally be adverse to being a system at first because she wouldn't want it to get in the way of her composing music and would repress any switching. This topic only ever comes up after 3rd anni because Mafuyu notices Kanade complaining about headaches a lot <- projecting my switch symptoms

Exactly my thoughts!!! For me, pjsk helped me get back into vocaloid after years of almost exclusively listening to the English scene. Finding so many amazing composers through the game just shows how much love the team behind it has for the international music culture around vocaloid
