They're also applying depth in Slime Cave as well, while I don't have a screenshot what it looks like, when you see this structure, behind it is 3D slime that makes the structure looks like it's dripping slime.

Idk how, but no one is talking about this. But did you know, this Slime Cave isn't fully 2D.?
If you look down, there is Hexagon-shaped stones in the center, those are actually stones are 3D.
This is similar to the Volcano theme, where the volcano is 3D

Well, I know the reason: This is a trade-off when you want to put 3D background objects in Creative, there is always compromises. Performance matters for Fall Guys, especially the weak NS.
I'm not mad by any means, I believe they can do it.
For now, this is what we got.
