We just returned from a trip through the Canadian Rockies. My husband and I are from the Olympic Peninsula of Washington and joked that we were on the American apology tour. Our Canadian neighbors were very kind and welcoming.

I agree! I live on the Olympic Peninsula and the turnout for protests here has been amazing!! My town has about 8,000 people people in the city limits. Over 1500 showed up for the protest in early April. I think Saturday will be even more!!

Leadership matters. Words matter. Remember, when they go after the rights of “others”, your rights, or the rights of someone you love could be next. Jesus said it best in Matthew 25:40: “Truly, I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers & sisters of mine, you did for me."

But what can we expect when our national leadership has once again shown, through their words and actions, that marginalizing others is acceptable. I am praying for the safety of these children & everyone who works at the center that the hate does not escalate to violence.

The back of the building was tagged with antisemitic & white power symbols. And to make it worse, one of their Jewish teens found it. It is heartbreaking that the safety and security the teens feel when they come to this center has now been violated by those who hate.

My husband and I attended your show tonight! You were so great and we appreciate you traveling all the way, via covered wagon, to the Olympic Peninsula to entertain us! And it is too bad you couldn't see it during the daytime. You know, with the water and mountains! 😉
