A flock of around 10 parakeets have just invaded the tree at the back and appear to be feeding on conkers, many of which have hit the ground so they haven't quite got the technique right yet!

Just seen my first Jersey Tiger Moth near Poole harbour. Bonus after dipping on Purple Heron for third day running. Last tiger moth (garden) I saw was in my youth, 60 or more years ago when they were fairly common

In Wales so missing all the Middleton arrivals 😕
Masses of hawthorn fly around, every white butterfly I have seen has half a dozen of these chasing it!

Just this week we have seen around 200 pigeon roosting around the field at the back.
However they are directly under the flight path to BHX and panic every time a jet comes in, flying in circles.
Obviously not city birds then
