Just a reminder that 8 guys now have more money than 4 billion people combined. Each of them individually could probably solve hunger or access to education for everyone on Earth. But they don't. There has never been wealth disparity this extreme in all of human history.

It occurs to me, that when voting, people fall into one of two camps: am I willing to let others suffer so my life can be fractionally easier, or am I willing to give up some things so others’ lives are significantly better.
