Having an early morning epiphany rn about the strong women in my life from the oldest ancestors I can remember/know of down to my 5yo daughter. I'm feeling the grief associated with ending a marriage for the first time & for some reason these women come to mind as I shed tears of sadness & not anger

Went to the state higher ed assessment and retention conference last week. Glad to be back in Gallup to hopefully bring back the energy and knowledge I gained from old & new colleagues in the postsecondary world.

Community is my word of the year. I don't have family close by that I can approach in times of need, so I thrive on chosen family. My kids, my work, my community--keeping it tight and straightforward this year. Strengthen our lil rural town the way we know best: by taking care of each other.
