I think the reason is that Levi just finally gave up. It's a culmination of her progression through the chapters until it finally reached its peak. Thankfully, Siren was there and helped Levi closure.
If Siren weren't there, then Levi would surely be dead or stuck in Gluttony for many years.

The people they tried "gatekeeping" are still playing the game. The reason they haven't been banned for breaking TOS multiple times is what Elon did to Twitter support.
