Thank you! I think this was my first post/photo of acknowledging our wedding. So no apologies needed!

I didn’t get rid of them right away. I think it’s important to process and make sure you’re ready. When I felt ready, I deleted them, and then had a bonfire and burned the physical copies. Because the timing was right, it was very therapeutic.

I consider myself relatively low maintenance, but in the times that matter, I remember who shows up, and who doesn’t. Like my coworkers have done more than most family members. We should have eloped. End rant.

But, in this world we’re living in, now, more than ever, I am feeling like I need support and people to show up. And there are people that are, but it’s disappointing with the lack of support from the family side. Who knows what the future of same sex marriage is going to look like.
