Finished weapon! It passed all my tests so I’m going to try it out during practice tomorrow. The glueing job wasn’t the best so we’ll see how it holds up. Fun fact about the blade: bought it cheap from a coach who got it from an Olympian. It’s a Russian blade and super high quality.

I forgot to take photos of the next steps but I sanded down the end of the wire (removed the insulation) so I could put it in the connector. I cut off any extra wire after putting the grip on. Below, you can see the blue spaghetti wire hidden under the pad for protection & how it’s connected.

Glueing the wire to the blade was the hardest part. You put it in the rewiring chain to make it bend, like an epee blade can, so you glue it correctly. I then hung it and let it dry overnight.

Then I thread the wire through the barrel and put the barrel on the blade, making sure the wire wasn‘t bent awkwardly. The spaghetti wire was slid on the opposite side from the barrel.
