Programmer, Game Master, and Scifi lover.
I'm just about as geek as they come.
Two of the players in one of my first regular groups were dating. When they broke up, it pretty much killed that group.

Thanks, I appreciate that!

Honestly, that's one of my favorite parts of GMing. My players can do the hard part of coming up with concepts, and then I can just help them make it 🤣

I'm a programmer irl and every time I'm a player in a sci-fi game, I always end up unintentionally making some kind of hacker / techie.

I once had a player do an innocent and shy goliath who just wanted to play his flute and spend time with his friends, still one of my favorite characters and players I've ever had in a game

My partner grew up only ever having margarine, it wasn't until we started dating that she had real butter and was similarly surprised by how much better it was

My gf has been asking for these loop earplugs that are noise canceling without any battery. With how loud her family gets, I could probably use a pair too.

Although one of my other favorite systems would fall under that (fantasy flight games star wars), I'm actually taking stars without number and its siblings

I like that idea! I could see it work even better in a classless system where you build your character out of various features that you can buy with bigger, more powerful features costing more.

Like point buy for leveling up? So mechanically weaker classes are balanced by gaining points to level up sooner with? That's a pretty interesting idea!

Ive never used roll20 to find games, but I could definitely see why that would be hard. I would check out meetup for local games or rpg related discord servers for lfg channels. Either way, I wish you luck!
