watched both seasons of reacher in the last couple of weeks. not great, yet somehow perfect.

still thinking a lot about the bear. watched seven fishes and it made me feel so many things. even with a family so unlike the berzattos, and in a landscape of obvious dialed up chaos, it captured so many nuances that i recognised and cringed at. the show isn't doing anything new. and yet! exciting!

finished s1 of the bear today. shoutout to a show with a small idea, done well. lots of perfect performances (bernthal, earning that emmy nom in tiny increments! edebiri, cringing into greatness! etc) but none more perfect than ebon moss-bachrach, playing a sad little man who misses his bestie.
