not the first time we've had a forest travel ban in Nova Scotia, let's hope it is the last

Received a few extra piece of a freedom of information request submitted in 2023. These pages, and others (which I will get later) were 'suddenly' found. Last I looked, it was a felony to lie to a cop during an investigation. Neither Clayton Developments nor the Shaw Group ever reached out to us.

Side by side comparison. Slightly different angle, but same dam gate. On right you can see the clear water, taken 12 May 2017 (photo by David Patriquin). On the left you see the siltation in the water, taken 08 Jun 2025 #eisnercovewetland

With the way #TimHouston has disrespected our elected HRM Council, with the way he has disrespected Nova Scotians, are we at all surprised with this? My thoughts is, next step, he'll fire all of the duly elected Councils, across NS, and place himself as the leader. I thought Trump was unhinged

Got a Freedom of Information reply today. Why, yes, I will "drive" this and any other issue related to the continued destruction of #eisnercovewetland

ECC Minister, Tim Halman, response to my seven complaints about siltation at #eisnercovewetland, "Inspection staff have communicated to the developer...inspected routinely...". I call BS on that. What do you think? Let's show up strong and in one voice at a peaceful rally
May 31, 2025 at 3:35 PM
This is just a bunch of BS. If the proper siltation barriers were in place, and working, I would have to complain seven times. Shameful

Premier Houston, ironically an environmental inspector, shakes hands with a shady developer on season 3 episode 4 of Sullivan's Crossing.

AND complaint number 6 has been filed about #siltation at #eisnercovewetland. But, but, the developer, the contractor, Halifax Water and Dept of Environment and Climate Change had a meeting about it...and it was supposed to be fixed...they said they'd fix it
May 10, 2025 at 8:30 PM
Apparently, in response to a reporter from #globalhalifax, Minister of Environmental Destruction, Tim Halman, said there are strict regulations in place to stop pollutants from entering Eisner Cove Wetland. He also said, if a citizen has complaints, to call Dept. I've called 5 times now Minister...2

And, Halifax Water is useless. A weekly walkthrough? They are supposed to, per an Approval, do a walkthrough DAILY to check on barrier. They aren't doing that, what makes HW think they'll do a weekly one?

Still a fair amount of siltation at #eisnercovewetland today
April 28, 2025 at 8:49 PM
Today, there have been two complaints about siltation in the water at #eisnercovewetland. The first was my complaint (Research Drive side of new road), the second was about the area circled in purple. This was part of the wetland, before the highway, and Baker Drive, were constructed.
April 27, 2025 at 7:05 PM
hat's wrong, ECC asked developer to fix the siltation barrier, but it didn't work the first or second time, and you can see, from this video I took today, it still isn't working. It's not just surface water we warned about, it's groundwater too. How many more times till someone is held accountable?
April 27, 2025 at 5:32 PM
I posted this photo before, but will again, especially after I received this BS email from the Department of Environment and Climate Destruction. What the hell do you mean there was no siltation? What the hell do you call this? The laws in NS are a sham. Guess I have to FOI this
April 12, 2025 at 5:29 PM
Minister of Environment and Destruction, Tim Halman, said, on GlobalNews, an investigator was in to investigate my complaint about siltation in the watercourse at #eisnercovewetland and there were no compliance issues. Seriously? Look at this photo and tell me that there are no compliance issues

This was what the water at the once prestige #eisnercovewetland looked like before the development and clear cutting started. Notice the nice black tea look? Now compare that to the milky tea look in the photos from today? Someone needs to be held accountable, but the DOECC is useless
April 3, 2025 at 12:17 AM
Yet again, just today 2 April, 2025, siltation in watercourse at #eisnercovewetland an offical complaint has been made to Dept of Environmemt & Climate Change. Have email confirmation. Let's see if they claim they didn't recieve it like in August 2023.

Snip from Chapter 16--To Serve and Protest, how HRP treated us at #eisnercovewetland
March 14, 2025 at 9:34 PM
Jumped ahead to Chapter 16, where I talk about the deplorable brutal actions of the police during demonstrations at #eisnercovewetland, where they either used physical force or attempted to intimidate demonstrators to bend to their will.

An snip from Chapter 10 of book, the formation of a non-profit society. Again, thanks to Susan Van Iderstine for the cover image.

I expect to be done the final draft by September. I'll then send it out to publishers, hoping one takes it. Or, I'll self-publish.
