could it be that the OP *knows* people think it's universal? and that that was precisely the misperception they were trying to challenge with their initial post? and that people can accidentally perpetuate harmful lies *based on* their different, slightly inaccurate perspective on life? etc etc

More fundamentally for me: I wish the people who gave these guidelines would address questions like e.g. what kind of alt text a blind student even wants or needs. I have no idea how to alt text an equation in a way that is legible or useful to someone who doesn't already speak fluent LaTeX.

i will try to read this at some point because i'm still bad at commutative algebra!
