The car from Black Moon Rising looks almost exactly like a Tesla. I’ll bet you green money Elon grew up watching it on South African cable.

Some days it seems like the entirety of human society is just geared towards perpetually selling and buying stuff. All our happiness is precluded on acquiring something more. But it’s just desire with no true purpose or endgame. It’s just more, more, more. And it always has been

I’ve watched two of these 1940s Inner Sanctum Mysteries so far and I really enjoyed them especially the way Lon Chaney Jr whispers his film noir voiceover. Right now I’m watching Dead Man’s Eyes where he’s a painter blinded by a jealous model. Check out the titles on these! Pillow of Death!

One of our four cats, Ollie. Cuz it’s Caturday night y’all! Time to watch some Twin Peaks The Return and try not to think about the world, my job, the entire shitshow the news cycle has become and likely will remain for the foreseeable future. Just my cats and some of the best damn television ever

Watched Joker: Folie a Deux. This was one of the best films to escape from the studios in 2024. Heartbreaking and more true to life than anything the comic books would let you believe. Am I surprised that a mainstream audience rejected it? Not in the least. But do I love it? Oh my yes I do.

If you don’t have a local library card, it should be your New Year’s resolution to get one. It’s an easy resolution to keep and you’ll actually use it, trust me.

I think I’ve owned this movie on every home video format except laserdisc. So I couldn’t resist picking it up on 4K. Currently watching the documentary Public Enemies: The Golden Age of the Gangster in the bonus features. I’ve always liked what an acquaintance labeled “movies about watching movies”
