If they're about to get away with as much as it seems like they are, and living in a castle somewhere in the Swiss Alps then why the hell would any of them ever need to worry about having a "job" again? Safety, on the other hand, might be a different issue for them.

Can you or any of your folks possibly get on the phone to someone at the MI6? Seriously. If we can't get anything done over here under our own laws and regulations, can we get some other professional organization to help us out before civilization as we know it ceases to exist?

Turns out, I guess it was all just smoke and mirrors and our government will simply fail us in the end. We won't be protected after all. As Federal employees we were required to take an oath and work under very strict behavioral and ethical guidelines, and for what? Fuck this. I'm angry now.

It's like it was all just a big lie. All the threats and all the warnings of being watched while we were working. All the year-end job performance evaluations. All the interviews where we were asked the same questions about how committed were we to civil rights and responsible use of gov equipment.

If any of this is even remotely true then I can't believe I wasted 25+ years of my life working for the US Federal gov and in fear of my own supervisors accusing me of misusing any gov computers or vehicles. All the required ethics and computer security courses we had to sit thru every single year.

even so much as trying to log onto ESPN.com to check on the score of a baseball game while using a gov computer.

Seriously, if even part of this is true and this is literally how easy it is to break into sensitive us gov computers and steal private info, well then maybe we're really a joke of a country and we collectively deserve to go down the s**thole. I worked in gov for 25 years in fear of being fired for

None of this makes any sense at all. I worked for a US Federal agency for 25 years and if anyone who was not authorized to be in that building I worked in was caught manipulating or using US government computers without clearance they would have been escorted out by US Marshals. Or arrested.
February 1, 2025 at 8:11 AM
If all of this is true, and there are unauthorized groups of people accessing sensitive US gov computers and ...NOT... being escorted off the premises by US Marshals, then there should be absolute Hell to pay when that question is asked as to why they're being allowed in this building. I pay taxes.

Not only armed and trained but also put up with absolutely ZERO bulls**t. Setting up beds in a Federal office building and sleeping overnight with no clearance to even be there? WTAF??? I was once reprimanded and written up for simply moving a US gov vehicle and then parking it back in a wrong spot.

Every Federal building I ever worked in had surveillance cameras in every hall and in every room. Everything we did was monitored and there were rooms where you had to have a security pass to open the door. Do they not have security at the US Federal Treasury? Our officers were armed and trained.

When I find this book in my parents' house I'm going to burn it.
