You forgot your team sheet graphic Adrian?

I guess no one really wants to think/talk about it, but how are we actually able to afford this outlay? Did someone flip Wenger’s old mattress? I really thought we’d pull in at least 60million or so to offset the spending. Could we see a big January exit when the pecking order has been established?

One area we’ve got to do better is academy sales. Liverpool are pulling in good money for their kids and many of ours are leaving for next to nothing. It’s not easy when their contracts are up/ending but we have to do better there, other clubs are doing it.

It gets worse if you consider that Jesus will likely end up leaving for very little as well.

Hard to argue some of our outgoings warrant big fees though (although granted some clubs are managing it) based on performances and injury record.

We also have no idea how picky the players have been

I hate him

Dowman reminded me a lot of the pre-season where Wilshere shone and broke through. Crazy that this kid is even younger. But he looks ready? 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

One death in these circumstances is too many. We’ve become desensitised to this horror. Israel don’t care how much ‘collateral damage’ they do. World leaders are silent, it just shows the appalling standard of leadership around the world and the ongoing failure of our political systems.

Nice piece Lewis. ARE we getting him though? Seems to have gone quiet. I think there isn’t a no-brainer signing on the market, so for me it comes down to how much he’s going to cost us and his age vs. some of the other candidates. You make a case for any of them, none are outstanding candidates.

Time for nations to start thinking about how to actually defeat Russia instead of stalking them, because Putin won’t stop until Ukraine falls. No question that would be a catastrophe for Europe. Every mile the take in Ukraine makes removing them more difficult. Time to get real!!!

So sad. I lived in Japan for 3 years and really hoped we’d get a decent Japanese player one day (high interest in Arsenal over there) Inamoto didn’t really count 😂 (they nicknamed him ‘T-Shirt’ -they concluded he was signed for shirt sales!) injury-free,no doubt Tomi would have racked up appearances

If we buy a left sided forward to replace Martinelli/Trossard, would it make sense to keep all 3 and instead sell in January? Given the scarcity of players on the market, is it easier to find a buyer and a better sale price? Would also be clearer who to let go #arsecastextra

Never thought he had the physical profile or attitude to be successful in the prem.

Do Inter Milan have the ‘best players’?
May 22, 2025 at 1:23 PM
Club captain might want to give it a go… and eat some hot meals as well
May 18, 2025 at 4:18 PM
If you’re someone who likes a facilitating forward like Havertz, then the bigger problem is the lack of goals from the left sided players and from attacking play through the center. Your priorities then become improving on Trossard/Martinelli and back-up or a partner for Odegaard who scores goals

And can they confirm they haven’t let anyone go and reduced their team? For sure they’ve reduced the number of shoots, so freelancers are losing out. Copywriters have got to be even worse off
May 7, 2025 at 8:36 AM
Can we really call ourselves title challengers this season? We’re so far behind, that’s really not credible in my view.
May 4, 2025 at 10:25 AM
League form matters. Carry another stinking performance into Paris and we’re done. On this evidence we may well get beat by Liverpool and Newcastle as well

What’s the difference in prize money?
May 3, 2025 at 6:53 PM
He’s become a dad. Probably sick all the time as I know myself, would make sense because physically he looks feeble at the moment. At this level you need to be able to hook him and we can’t. Recruitment issue, but he needs some physical conditioning ahead of next season and decent cover

I think Rice didn’t need to go, but no one covered his man when he did. Can’t imagine Arteta will be happy with that.

League form. Too long getting up to speed.

Silver lining:

We can play a lot better, PSG may regret not going for the jugular…

Too long getting up to speed which for me is why league form matters.
