I saw both Niko and JO i think say the deal is completely done, and they spoke about it on their podcast as if the deal was done, but id really just like the team to announce it (not that I do not trust them). Media team just making great highlight tapes maybe 🤷♂️

I was maybe hoping for something a little more exciting with the open cap space from Leyva leaving, but this keeps ours floor very high if we have all 3 of Roldan, Obed and Dotson next year. He makes some high money, so hopefully this doesnt cap what else we can do this off-season

This is disgusting and if it happens sounders gotta announce a replacement signing for him or leyva within a week (don't actually rush it but im crashing out even though its kinda logical from a business perspective)

This is the painful truth that there is a business aspect despite him being a fan favorite. Hard for me to justify him making 200k more than someone like Alex roldan, when everyone is healthy rothrock may not be a starter. Just PLEASE replace him, or leyva, or JP, or kent . . .

My wife said it'll be the closest she has ever come to boycotting the sounders if rothrock goes somewhere else. I tried to explain that he is asking to be paid higher than the like of Alex Roldan or Ragen and she did not care

Good for him, looks like they gave him the #6 jersey so should be a staple for them id think. Do you think increased cap space persuades them to throw another 100k at rothrock? Or how concerned should we be about Nashville posting a video teasing they signed a new player?

Should say id rather keep Albert at the 10 and just give rothrock a little more to stay, but certainly begins to give cap flexibility was the point of my initial comment. Especially if moose, obed, and leyva all leave

Yeah but I would be surprised if many teams want him at price he is reportedly asking for. Id think if the numbers he was getting offered were similar to what seattle was offering he would want to stay, but who knows

I feel like I am in the minority, or I just expect FIFA to be outrageous, but I purchased R32 game in Seattle for $330 a ticket which feels somewhat fair for FIFA. Its a similar price to many concerts and could be the USA playing it if they top their group. Got lucky with lottery though thankfully
