No, Mike Johnson, satire is NOT punching down on people with less power. I support the separation of church and state, but you don't. So, Mike Johnson, where's the Jesus in the current guy figuratively dumping shit on people? Jesus did not punch down. Release the Epstein Files.

That would truly be shocking and awesome, but no, it's more important to pile on "shock and awe "cruelty. It's been 27 hours, 51 minutes and counting.
I don’t understand why Warmonger Trump is allowing so much death & destruction to continue in Ukraine when he said he knew exactly how to end the war & would easily stop all this killing 24 hours after taking office. Why does he continue to refuse to end this? Does he like war?

He had the greatest post-presidency in history. I also think about how he put his peanut farm in trust when he became president & compare that to the conflict of interest cesspool we have coming in now. RIP Mr. Jimmy. meidasnews.com/news/jimmy-c...

RIP Jimmy Carter. Tribute from The Clash (Washington Bullets, 1980):
For the very first time ever
When they had a revolution in Nicaragua
There was no interference from America
Human rights in America
The people fought the leader and up he flew
With no Washington bullets what else could he do?

The older I get, the more I appreciate Mary's wisdom. This article helped me see her vision more clearly. Donna Reed's portayal is perfect.

George’s vision of his wife without him is essential to the film, but critics continue to miss its true—and profound—meaning.

Hi Terry. Hi Kevyn. Sabres fan since 1970, 40-year ex-pat but return regularly & go to games, back in town this week. But since YOU have no clue what team will show up, your fans have no clue. I do have a clue, though: My $ stays with me, my butt stays home. Gots buy me some palm trees. #sabrehood

“Don’t feed the trolls” also extends to bad opinion pieces in papers of record.

They run them bc people react to them the most.

If we stop linking to bad columns and instead post thinkers we find valuable (& generate convo around it), incentives change.

It’s not easy and takes constant practice!

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.

We have to sustain each other. Making joy isn’t denial, it’s how we will survive
