Having lived in Texas and repeatedly visited Florida, I can see why people would flee these backward states where being woke is a sign of weakness, not a sign of humanity.

They not only have my business, but I moved my considerable investment in Tesla stock to Costco. It was a better stock anyway. Perhaps they'll bring back Polish sausages in the hotdog deal... ;)

It's also (not surprising) to hear about profiteering as rents, hotel room prices, and the cost of basics skyrocket. It is depressing...

I don't live in LA, but from what I saw, if the fire brigades were ten times as large, they could not have stopped these fires. But I'm no expert. It's like saying that higher sea walls would stop a tsunami.
