This is what we're up against, folks. There will be no MAGA shift, no great awakening, no coming to their senses. Surrender or fight are the only options being offered. I hope that changes but there is little evidence to suggest it will anytime soon.

IMHO there needs to be more direct progressive engagement with MAGA and fewer disappointed fan letters to Democrats.

It is a tenet of Nazism that out groups do not have valid opinions on any subject and do not deserve to be heard, only insulted and ruled.
Anyway, that's why civility and reason cannot defeat MAGA on their own.

If there is evidence that MAGA is *not* laying groundwork to declare the entire Democratic Party a terrorist organization and start disappearing/arresting/rendering Democrats on that basis without benefit of due process, I am not seeing it. Everything so far points that way.

As long as the MAGA platform is "we do what we want, who's gonna stop us", the threat of national instability grow. Dismantling the federal court system has been a pipe dream of the Right ever since the civil rights era. This state of affairs is not sustainable.
