I think in modern day college football, those traits have certainly evolved, but don't discount the fact that the #Jets will be looking for a guy who has a resume that includes more than 1-year of success. Enjoy your Saturday! Back to Sunday Drive prep.

In the end, Glenn / Mougey will make the call. If they draft a QB, you have to take into account the Parcells influence. QB traits he required...3-year starter...At least 23-wins...2 to 1 TD to INT ratio...at least 60% completion rate.

In the meantime, the #Jets can certainly explore the veteran QB market. Trading for a franchise QB like Joe Burrow is a fantasy, and I personally wouldn't have much interest in Kyler Murray, or Trevor Lawrence if they become available.

Those pushing the idea of waiting until 2027, like Herbstreit on the Prime broadcast Thursday night, need to understand there are no guarantees. Guys get hurt, or the evaluations can change. Sellers and Nussmeier are prime examples. Nobody can be sure of what Arch is yet.

I would say they probably need both, but past isn't prologue. You can't worry about the failure to draft and develop QB's that weren't under the control of this regime. I like the offensive coordinator, the young O-Line, and some of the pieces in place to support a young QB.
