NOPE!
This idea was crap when George W Bush proposed it for Social Security, and it's just as crap today to invest our elder care funds in a stock market beholden to a wannabe dictator. If we're broke, maybe tax our wealthiest corporations?

That movie "A Day Without A Mexican" should be a part of middle school curriculum.

Pork chop in chile seed sauce with sweet potato.
Another Pati Jinich recipe. Made with ancho and guajillo chile seeds, chicken broth, cumin, and masa, et al.

I have Ustican heritage, like a large number of Sicilian immigrants in NOLA in early 1900s (Louis Prima included.)
This author sells these out of her home, and a handwritten letter and check gets you a signed copy. Of course, it includes St Guiseppe Alter Pasta Con Sarde ("alter" is her spelling.)

Handmade falafel. Started from dry chick peas and fava beans. Soaked overnight, peeled every dang bean, and because this recipe is almost like taking a bite out of a raw garlic clove, I halved the garlic, then roasted, and the leek and onion, to get a less aggressive flavor.

Chilaquiles with coloradito and chicken. Messy, but usually worth it.

Chicken alla Trash (Pollo a la Basura.) Chicken, poblanos, potatoes, pepitas, prunes, and more.
Quick and easy, and a change of pace.

A LOT of enchilada sauce. Guajillo chiles, onion, garlic, Sonoran (Mexican) oregano, and homemade chicken broth. We have a couple of house guests coming, and we like to make sure they feel welcome and loved.

I was a Soundwave member in 2016, and played at the airport as they got offthe plane. It was an incredible day, as many of us will remember. The team got sequestered near us while people spoke to the crowd, and my wife was able to get the whole squad to sign my kid's jersey.

What I call "Italian Hamburger Helper." It's certainly not authentic to any Italian region.
My wife is gluten free. I don't enjoy gluten free pasta. So sometimes when I want pasta, I make a risotto with tomato sauce and homemade beef broth. I add skirt steak and cheap canned olives. #homecooking

Chicken Chilaquiles, the early days. the tomatillos and tomatoes and stuff on the right will be salsa. On the left, the chicken boiling. The leftover shredded chicken will be frozen for future dishes, and the stock will be as well. #homecooking
