Thelymitra arenaria / forest sun orchids, was lucky to catch the last of these flowering for the year at the little population in Broadmeadows

Went for a bike ride with my camera on sunday afternoon cause it looked like it was going to be a nice sunset. Wasn't disappointed, the golden hour colours in Williamstown were beautiful. Shot on Nikon D850 with a Sigma 120-300mm f2.8 lens

earlier this year some friends and I set up a nursery in my backyard. we've been collecting seeds from local populations of indigenous species to put in gardens and use for revegetation projects. at the moment we have about a dozen species and have grown over 3000 plants in 6 months
