Last year I had a pair of Sandhills living by my house. I've heard them this year but haven't seen them. Anyway, I was so excited I emailed the Crane Foundation in Baraboo to tell them. They burst my bubble by telling me Sandhills were pretty common. Not to me!

This guy was found in my yard dying from feline herpes and secondary infections 7 yrs ago or so. Teeth were broken, infected. After months of antibiotics, dental surgery, and neutering, he's the best little gentleman.

A couple of weeks ago temps were in the 80s- 70s at night. Tonight it is 55 degrees, rainy, and KW is happy to be snuggled in a flannel blankie.

I found one of my current housecats dying under a tree in my yard. Had feline herpes and secondary bacterial infections-green stuff rolling out of his nose and eyes. Took over 6 months of antibiotics to stop. Neutered him, saved up and got dental care. He's a sweet old boy.
