Is there a chance that the effort comes from the fact that they want more positional flexibility as opposed to financial? I admit it’s a stretch, and the financial flexibility seems far more likely, but I think it’s at least worth considering.

Also, shocking that when Jayden is playing an actual good defense he has a ~50% completion rate, only 200 yards, and no touchdowns. Not saying he's bad, but the talk around him makes it seem like he's the best quarterback in the NFL. He's good, but not a finished product.
