As Herm Edwards said the other night, it was an easy schedule but you still gotta win the games and they did. Two playoff games down, one to go. Seize the moment, guys, 8-0 on the road, one more and you can make history.

The weather conditions were tough, slick field, rain/sleet/snow. He hit receivers in hands and they couldn’t secure the ball. I respect the fact that Orlovsky actually made an NFL roster but his win loss record was 2-18 compared to 28-18 for CJ. The kid is a work in progress, but has potential.

If Belichick gets tired of the transfer portal, or he can pry Josh McDaniels as OC loose from Patriots. Otherwise Belichick as defensive coordinator might work.

Hoyt Wilhelm, Wilbur Wood and Tim Wakefield, the knuckleball hall of fame. RIP Wilbur, Hoyt and Tim, it was fun watching you guys leaving hitters scratching their heads.

In defense of Maye weather conditions were bad, slick field, rain mix with snow in 4th quarter. Texans have an elite defense, excellent at punching ball out. His left tackle is a rookie and whiffed badly on a couple of blocks leading to two fumbles and the int in the end zone was end of first half.

Google Fran Tarkenton scrambles on YouTube.

Agree, Maye can throw to that spot and give his guys a chance to lay out and get it, but in those conditions, a wet ball, just incredible.

The Red Sox were “cursed” until 2004, the 1986 World Series loss to the Mets was a crusher. I can still see Buckner at first base bending down stiffly and ball went through his legs. I don’t blame him, there was a wild pitch before.

They got Malcolm Butler on speed dial.

Maye throws a pretty good accurate deep ball and ran for a couple of first downs to extend plays. Give Texans defense some credit, they go after the ball and we’re in his face the whole game.

Stroud was down two receivers, Missed Nico who is really good plus they abandoned the run game. Patriots home field was decisive with weather and crowd.
January 19, 2026 at 1:07 AM
Weather conditions like this are the worst, freezing rain mix, low temp and slick field. At field level visibility by 4th quarter was dicey.
January 19, 2026 at 12:59 AM
In those conditions it was unbelievable, wind, sleet and a spot throw by Maye.

Patriots on to Denver, Vegas odds? Thought the script was Josh wins and comes to Foxboro to clinch AFC. Who knew Nix broke his ankle in high school and again at Auburn?
January 19, 2026 at 12:39 AM
Whichever defense scores last wins.

Eight turnovers total in Pats Texans game, snow and sleet. Fasten your chinstraps.

The path was there for Josh Allen, he is a remarkable athlete but he had to protect the ball better which contributed to Bills defeat. The officiating in OT didn’t help either. The officials were allowing for contact throughout the game, a slight grab or hold was acceptable until OT.

Bo’s out, karma hit the Broncos.
January 18, 2026 at 4:20 AM
Denver without Nix opens the door to a Bears Patriots Super Bowl. Should be a fun game Sunday, snow is in the forecast.
January 18, 2026 at 4:19 AM
If the Patriots find a way to win, they get to play the Broncos who lost Nix to a broken bone in his ankle and is out of playoffs. Bears Patriots Super Bowl anyone?
January 18, 2026 at 4:13 AM
The problem I have with this game is the officiating. When you “let them play” you set the baseline for defensive calls. The final Denver drive Nix was throwing arcing deep balls that both guys contested, the officials decided to make pass interference calls based on the rule book then.

Hello? Is this Philip Rivers? Could you tell your daddy this is the GM of Denver Broncos, and I would like to talk to him?
January 18, 2026 at 3:54 AM
In Reagan’s second term he started to lose it(dementia I believe)after two years. Nancy and Jim Baker ran the country and Dutch watched old movies.

And then Karma arrived and knocked Nix out of the playoffs with a broken bone in his ankle. Sorry Denver.
