That’s not how economics work. The country has to pay its debts, or people stop lending money to the treasury. If they stop lending us money, the economy collapses.
But if instead of being used solely to pay interest on the national debt your obscene wealth was invested in infrastructure, education and otherwise redistributed to the public as a whole the amount of economic activity it would generate would massively benefit everyone.
