You may not want it to get much higher than 30%, else it might do weird stuff to your windows cause it's so cold outside. I have this: www.honeywellpluggedin.com/products/hum.... I like it because the wicking tech makes it so it doesn't ever put out more moisture than the air can handle.

It's not closed to car traffic. It has been open to car traffic for a couple years now. Just FYI.
