There are so many similarities between Manavgat Fire and, for example, the Eaton and Palisades fires of past January. In fact as I was writing the introduction to this manuscript, Palisades Fire was on livestream in my office, the start, the spread bore so many parallels although continents apart.

The hot & dry climate, w/ relative humidity going down the 20% critical threshold during the fire days, strong foehn winds and the human ignitions culminated in the devastation that followed. Our article delves into the dynamics behind this megafire:

towards lasting peace and security for all living things on this planet, we have to find, and support organizations that really strive to make that happen. They may look small, but they are efficient and much more impactful than the #US or the #UN on the ground, where it really matters.

consider how the world became so dependent on a bunch of countries to start or to stop (if ever) wars not to mention genocide? Where is the #UN in all of this (not to mention other regional pacts formed for regional cooperation and peace). Time to realize the larger aid and peace mechanisms have >>
