I think thats a naive view-point. It trades institutional stability and pluralism for emotional unity and short-term mobilization. The political pendulum aspect is very real with inevitable backlash even if it’s well-intentioned. In reality, it discourages stable ground for compromise or continuity.

Is it not true that Seattle politics are a bit boring compared to most big cities in the US in a good way? I think populism is reggresive because it’s emotion-driven with complex policy solutions becoming secondary.

Would you care to explain a few things you like about her when it comes to policy? I just want some perspectives of locals cuz I truly can’t tell who are bots on the other apps. I like Mamdani but I think populist-driven politics are regressive and it doesn’t fit Seattle, so I am a bit skeptical.
