The characters even follow you at different fucking speeds and in different orders and clumped together in different ways through the environments depending on the current relationship point ranking. It's mind-boggling

They micromanaged everything, even things like all the character positionings and choreo in all of the environments and how they change based on the relationship system and all of the branches have different lookat behavior. It's just insane. It's insane.

I could write hours and hours of video about this game. What it does right, what it does wrong, the things I really appreciate and that really disappoint me both as a consumer and as a game Dev veteran of around 20 years. But it is so... Overthought in a way that I love to unpack.

Even if it doesn't resonate with consumers, I'm sure it's going to leave an impact on other game developers, especially the dialogue system.

It has consumed hours of waking thought every day since it came out. It's unfinished and scarred I'm assuming by the massive walkouts and strikes at their parent studio but even still, it's such a dense game.
