Next we’re taking OUT some AC mountains from Zurgo, in favor of some Muhammad Firdaus mountains from ONE, also matching the bordered look for the deck… a lost art.

Also replacing the mountains in Arthur with AC Jeremy Pailotin mountains, now the deck is all AC basics lands. Nice.

Got a full weekend of #MTGTarkir prerelease, I got to play 5-color dragons, not once, but twice! I got lucky enough to open 8 (!) multicolor lands in my deck on the left. The challenge of balancing 5 colors feels really rewarding.

I’ve been retooling some of my mana bases—let’s call it spring cleaning—and I’ve come across a new philosophy: counting MDFCs as half-lands instead of just replacing lands with them. I’m curious how other people count them when deck building. Thoughts?

#McChicago dump pt 2. Drafts from the Windy City. After only scheduling one event all weekend, I ended up enjoying Mystery booster draft so much that I drafted 2 more. It was very fun to play so many sweet cards from throughout the years and I only lost 1 game all weekend. Play mo’ magic!
