Agree of course. Mildy triggered on the sound desk comment though 😅. Was at a gig recently and after the first two songs without the lead guitar being in the mix at all, I couldn't bear it and made as polite a suggestion as I could. It wasn't well received by the desk but honestly it saved the gig!😬

This prompts certain behaviours, but again, what is quite endearing is the way in which nearly everyone ends up valuing the relationships more than the game - even when they are forced to play the game. As well as the DRAMA this is very much why the show is a hit. Imo! :)

Friendship is often based on a form of empathy - I get you, you get me, -we- understand. Layered on top of that is a daft - it's just a game! - and highly manipulative construct.

I will, politely as we are on bluesky 🤪, disagree. In my eyes there is a LOT of empathy in the show. A central theme of what makes it so watchable, is the overall likeability and warm heartedness of a pretty random group of people quickly forming rather delightful and otherwise unlikely friendships
