Okay, time for the absolute best book of 2024: THE BACKYARD BIRD CHRONICLES by Amy Tan. Charting her flighted visitors over the course of the year, and full of beautiful illustrations, this is an excellent read for beginning and avid birders alike - or really any nature lover!!

I've been waiting for Emily Layden to write another book ever since her debut (All Girls) in 2021. ONCE MORE FROM THE TOP did not disappoint! I love how she captures voice and her somewhat stream-of-consciousness narrative style. A little mystery thrown in - what more could I ask for?
