Youd think that if you have three live music events happening in the city that PTV would at least schedule extra trains but no. Crush capacity HCMT on a Tuesday night. Oh well. Maybe we have to wait till February for the new timetable to fix this.

For those of you in Australia (especially QLD) and care about trans rights make your voice heard! This is crazy stuff to pull as the minister of "health" to ban puberty blockers after the supreme court decision. Write to your MP's, email the minister, or even just sign the petition. #transrights 🏳️‍⚧️ 🇦🇺

Love it when the airport has a bus that takes you all of 15 seconds to your plane and fits about a fourth of the total passengers of the flight

The Vienna Convention on Road Signs and Signals is great and all but I will forever believe that the 'No Parking' signs convey absolutely 0 information compared to the Australian 'No Parking' sign which at least clarifies directionality.

Just experienced dread trying to search for "SMI wikipedia" on DuckDuckGo hoping to get Samos International Airport (who's ICAO code is "SMI") but instead being reminded about the lack of three letter acronyms and abbreviations.

"If you travel most days, you may save money with myki Pass"
🤔 We've got a smartcard ticketing system. It should be smart enough to automatically charge a Pass fare.
Many cities have automatic weekly caps - the current revamp is a chance for the government to add it to #Myki.

Athena trolley busses are cool, I just wish they'd stop running battery busses right underneath the wires :/

More than ten years worth of Australia’s emissions in a single facility for export. There is nothing that the Labor party could do this term - or ever - that could bring it back from the impact of this decision for climate harms.

Absolutely evil.

Suburban Rail Loop is such an ambitious project that I hope will make it out alive on the other side of the Victorian state elections. If built it would drastically change Melbourne and its transport. Connecting two large universities and 6 existing rail lines in just the first stage.

Ever wonder why no service understand any of the special event trams in Melbourne? Because the data is completely missing from PTV / Yarra Trams. Why? No clue. So when the network is at capacity during an event and you pull up Google Maps. Good luck. Do better Vic Gov.

Anyone on the Cranbourne, Pakenham, Frankston, and potentially Sandringham Lines be warned. Vehicle crashed into a bridge at South Yarra. No train movements beyond Caulfield.

Lovely work PTV. Give me a train to run to, only to find it terminates at Flinders St with no warning. Thankfully they actually provided an easy cross platform transfer to an in service train. But y'know. Telling me that before shoving me off the train would have been nice 👍.

The Aus GP has a special express tram service 96a, but it doesn't appear anywhere in the PTV. So instead it generates these weird trips instead of PTV just providing the correct data for it to use. Shouldn't be that hard for them to do but alas.

I love NaviLens Go it makes using trams so much easier for me.

Using the Melbourne train network for the first time in a while and finally there is some acknowledgement that the gtfs real-time data does have issues. Thank you AnyTrip for making this clear.

Why does every state and territory in Australia have a different transport card that only works on their systems. I understand that card payment "fixes" the issue but really I see this as a failure of the federal government for just letting the states and territories do their own thing.

Quick trip to Glen Waverly to see the preserved Tait Set running on Melbourne's rails. I'll be back down to Syndal later to catch it again.

This is killing me because the trains are running and have positions in the real world but the API returns NOTHING. And worse it returns HTTP 200 "OK" the standard response.

A little bit of what im working on.

Trying to work with Metro Trains Melbourne GTFS-R data is doing my head in. Why does half the time the API return nothing. Nothing at all. I just have to keep calling it and eventually I get data, but it might contain a portion of all trains.
