What’s your opinion on a similar policy at the national level? I agree a state level wealth tax probably wouldn’t work because it’s too easy to move to another state, but I think it’s worth calling the bluffs of the ultra wealthy who claim they’d leave the country for a 2% national wealth tax.

I think the resistance to the style of minivans comes from the moms who don't want to be seen as "soccer moms" (which has become one of those things that doesn't really mean anything). Dad's love the vans cause they have more tech.

The future on $70k EVs is foggy. If anyone actually tried selling a $20k EV like they have in other countries I guarantee they would outsell traditional cars.

I am 100% serious when I say I absolutely could not believe that in a movie called “Fire and Ash”, the final set piece didn’t take place on or near that big volcano. The third act is almost identical to TWoW. My favorite part was the stuff in the industrial colony because it was new &different!

I am a die hard Xbox guy, and I still think Xbox is the best gaming platform between the big 3 when considering things like value (Game Pass) and online/convenience features (play anywhere, quick resume). But this past fall it was impossible to recommend Xbox to anyone at these prices.

The big question remains the same. Where is the revenue to cover these investments supposed to come from? Usage tokens? Ads? Corporate subs when companies try to replace salaried employees with LLMs?

Your original point was spot on. I personally use BS because it keeps me informed and the people I follow are fun. But no one should be under any impression that this kind of platform is the most effective way to change minds on a large scale.

I agree those that say the “but he did vote for that” retort is counterproductive, but have any of these reporters tried asking them “are you possibly now more sympathetic to Kamala voters in your life who might be frustrated by that answer?”

This is especially true in NJ. It’s bizarre to me that a state with such great bagels and strong deli culture still insists it has elite pizza. Which it doesn’t. Really great bagels just across the Hudson though!

For anyone who has never made homemade pasta, I HIGHLY recommend making lasagna as your first attempt. No cutting of the pasta to worry about, just roll em flat, and it’s a baked dish so the homemade pasta better absorbs the flavor from the sauce/cheese.

I understand wanting to go in fresh, but I would recommend reading/listening to the book before the move comes out. It's good!

the second I saw that new Steam Machine my first thought was "oh that looks exactly what I expected a mid cycle refresh of the Series X to look like."
I'm sure people are innovating on Xbox behind the scenes, but it feels like none of that innovation is making it to market, which is sad :(
