I agree that 16 year olds deserve the vote. After all, the adults have done such a good job electing the MPs for generations. Maybe those buying into their future as opposed to shortsightedness makes more sense. After all, Brexit robbed them of greater potential, free movement and opportunities.

If we can all agree on one thing it is that when Starmer fails to ‘read the room’ he just goes into another room and fails to read that one as well. The feeling of hope has spectacularly died on his Premiership.

One takeaway from the local elections is that the message being sent is voter apathy at Liebore for not being what we wanted/expected. Another is that the few who did vote are morons who don’t realise the threat to our NHS and are more concerned with their own racism and bigotry.

Funny how history repeats. Seem to have read somewhere about a chap in the 1930s who did a similar thing in terms of Canada in places like the Sudetenland. Same chap also blamed minorities for the woes of the majority and brought in draconian rules to punish the former just to placate the latter.

I’ve come quite far the last 5-10 years. Gone from a Brexit supporting nationalist thinking centre-right voter to a left leaning EU wanting not anti-monarchist but very much now seeing the end for Royalty. But what I’ve discovered since July is that Labour aren’t clearly on my wavelength.

Long time Royalist (and military veteran) here but I have to admit that the events involving King Charles this week have me seriously questioning whether or not we need to be rid of the monarchy. Any thoughts?
