TIL from watching it (again after many years) that an early on-screen role for Adam Scott (Parks & Rec, Severance) was as Jacques from "Hellraiser: Bloodline" (1996.)

See if you have a Sinclair or nexstar station in your area. 2. Watch the local newscast tonight or some time this week. 3. Note the companies that bought tv adverts. 4. Call them and let them know you will boycott them until they quit supporting that media company. Trust me. I worked in tv for 45 years. Nothing you do will have greater impact. Nothing. This is a much more effective tool than cancelling Disney. We did cancel Disney but calling Joe's Jeep dealership who is buying adds on the local nexstar station will have a BIG impact. Joe doesn't need that grief. He will find another station to buy adverts on.

Now that I'm all moved back home to help care for my folks in SoCal & the company I worked for no longer exists, I'll share more details about my job. I was a forklift & general warehouse maintenance mechanic for the Joann (Fabric and Craft) Stores' Headquarters distribution center in Hudson, OH. 💚

I'm supposed to oversee their care in their declining years. Hope I'm still alive and not imprisoned for being 🏳️‍🌈. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Wow... This is all feeling very real now. Our last day at work is Fri. 5/9 or Sat. 5/10. While I'm excited to be heading back to SoCal in June, I'm also feeling really sad. I am really proud of myself for doing as well as I did in this maintenance mechanic position. I proved that I could do physically and mechanically difficult repairs. I proved that a lot of people's opinions about me and what I'm capable of were incorrect. I was told that I am one of the hardest workers in our department. My boss told me recently said that I never disappointed him. I developed physical strength and endurance that would raise a lot of eyebrows among people who thought they knew my limits. I don't think that this same job is what's next for me due to arthritis, sciatica, and repetitive motion issues (Carpal Tunnel surgery ahead.) However, this may open doors for a desk job or supervisory position which puts all that mechanical experience to good use. Forever a work in progress. Stay tuned.
