Great idea!

Unless you plan on having different functionality for the D-Pad and for the left joystick, I would recommend having them do the same thing (movement). A lot of people prefer one over the other, so it's best to just have them do the same thing. :P

I only ever do the tours if the software is completely unfamiliar to me. That is the only case in which I have found them somewhat useful.

I say "large"- large to me. I'm sure I could go bigger.

Not to oust myself as a nerd but the most recent example would be from the last episode of Star Trek Lower Decks. Some dude keeps popping up around the ship pretending to be different officers. I thought it was funny. I swear I've seen something similar elsewhere.
