Another paper alert! This one led by my colleague Grace Armstrong at the USGS Mercury Research Lab, using seasonal sampling and mercury stable isotopes to investigate temporal trends in mercury bioaccumulation in two eutrophic urban lakes. Check it out!

Seasonal Stratification Drives Bioaccumulation of Pelagic Mercury Sources in Eutrophic Lakes
Increased lake eutrophication, influenced by changing climate and land use, alters aquatic cycling and bioaccumulation of mercury (Hg). Additionally, seasonally dynamic lake circulation and plankton c...

Sulfate Reduction Drives Elevated Methylmercury Formation in the Water Column of a Eutrophic Freshwater Lake
Mercury (Hg) contamination of aquatic food webs is controlled in part by the formation and accumulation of toxic and bioaccumulative methylmercury (MeHg). MeHg production is mediated by metabolically ...

I'm excited to share that today was my first day as an Assistant Professor in the School of Freshwater Sciences at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee! I am very excited to join the great faculty at this one-of-a-kind program, especially in my home state and a city I love.
