"So people didn't know Harris"

People DID know Harris. As I just said: was part of a regime that SUPPORTED what happens to Gaza. How do you get "people didn't know Harris" when I said people DID know Harris?

Of course they work. It's a simple concept: people will tell you what they stand for and people decide whether or not to give them their vote.

Why do you think it works differently here? Why wouldn't Harris have to earn people's vote? She was part of a regime that SUPPORTED what happens to Gaza.

"Politicians try to moderate what they say to avoid trouble."

And how well is that working for the Democrats?

That's precisely my point. Mamdani isn't moderating his message. He's running on policy, honesty and integrity. That's how you cut through the headlines.

"Making sense and showing empathy doesn't win you votes apparently."

Except it seems to be working for Mamdani. It isn't about "getting headlines". It's about getting votes.

Mamdani acts like a normal person. Ask him his position on something like trans rights? He will give you a straight answer.

Harris didn't. Ask her about trans people or Gaza and it's all talking points.

You counter "they're eating your pets" with empathy and conviction.

I can't understand an article like this that also doesn't at least have "the minister was approached for comment..." somewhere in it.

And they've blocked me LOL.

You obviously don't know what a Zionist is.

So either you are lying or just ignorant.

Trans rights are human rights. And free Palestine.

There are five acts in the genocide convention. And the convention requires intent. There is a wealth of evidence supporting intent in regard to Gaza. That's why South Africa was able to take a case to the International Court of Justice.
October 11, 2025 at 4:08 PM
Except you are lying. Mamdani isn't a Zionist.

I don't know why you are choosing to lie. But it's a lie. You should stop doing that.

Genocide has a very specific legal definition that is governed by the genocide convention. Palestine is illegally occupied. What is happening in Gaza is genocide.

The education system is just fine here in NZ. And I obviously no more about what is happening in Palestine than you.
October 11, 2025 at 4:01 PM
Because you were talking about the genocide which is happening in Gaza, as opposed to the ethnic cleansing that is happening in the West Bank.

Perhaps you should just stop with the Gish-gallop. That isn't going to work on me.
October 11, 2025 at 3:55 PM
I stand with trans people. And I stand with Palestinians in Gaza.

Do you stand with trans people?
October 11, 2025 at 3:48 PM
He is.

Trans rights are human rights.
October 11, 2025 at 3:45 PM
It is a genocide.

Free Palestine.

And protect trans people.

We can do multiple things at once. There are almost NO US politicians speaking up for trans people. This moment is important. And if you support trans people, then let them have this moment.

I think an editorial thing as opposed to a legal thing. If the Israeli government wants to sue over the use of the word genocide without quotes, then I say let them.
September 21, 2025 at 4:18 AM
It wasn't a vote.
September 21, 2025 at 3:18 AM
Why not the full quote then, which would have been "stopping the genocide" instead of just a single word?

And there is nothing reasonable about waiting for five years for a court decision when there is a broad consensus among agencies and scholars NOW that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.
