The beauty of mother nature from above contrasts with the fury of the weather experienced below.

I started Satdump live output processing for about 6hrs then manually created the animation via Premiere. Next step is to automate the process either via RPi or windows.

Today's star factory is the Cat's Eye Galaxy (M94) appearing in Canes Venatici. The center bulge is a site of intense star forming activity and forms the ring (in blue) surrounding the galaxy’s core. Shot with an SCT at 2000mm 5 min exposures🧪

Trying to get ready for galaxy season; imaging at f/10 2000mm with an SCT is showing my collimation/tilt issues. Might go back to using a reducer for f/6 at 1240mm. For a test, here's the Running Man at full gallop in Orion :)

Got some more tweaking to do, but pretty jazzed about receiving a NOAA satellite transmission. Now to improve the V dipole antenna and reception, maybe re-purpose the elements of an old TV antenna.
