Grievance with my Housemates by J. T. Hartzfeld What wrath has come to break me from my peace? What vengeance have I wrought? with what misdeed? Oh, why am I forbidden all surcease of interruption, though I daily plead? It's not as though they know not what they do; Nor can they claim they have not heard my pray'r; Nor can be claimed my grievance is untrue; The thumping, clacking sound is always there! I have for three long years been so harass'd by feet above me stomping out my thought, in shoes too large for feet that fall too fast; It's hard to act the way I know I ought. Although, I doubt my house would make the news if, just out front, I burned a pile of shoes.
