They then get AI to write a reply to the "summary" that they assume is accurate and complete, and send it without really reading the email they are sending. So they barely register the information, and when she contacts them to follow up on the contents, they don't even remember what they agreed to.

I know someone whose job includes emailing managers and VPs with instructions on how to do things or reminders to do things by a certain date. It's become obvious recently that many of them are not reading their emails, instead just getting AI summaries of them.

The thing that bugged me the most though, there's at least two instances where Harari asserts something, then immediately names an example of why this isn't true, and follows with "but this is the exception that proves the rule." He doesn't understand the purpose of this phrase and misuses it.

Going into the second read, I realized I couldn't remember anything about the second 2/3 of the book. Getting through it this second time, I found the points either really obvious to the point they shouldn't need to be stated, or they were optimistic assertions not well supported by the narrative.
