One of my biggest gripes about banning minors from social media is how social media operates as a digital, international third space for generations of kids who we've largely stripped all third spaces from. Even if you could succeed in banning them (you won't) the repercussions will be deafening.

Most trans people are poor and underemployed, yet John Harris and many others on the self-proclaimed “left” of politics portray the fight for trans rights as a squabble over pronouns.

It'll never not be amusing to see folks fresh through the door here like "don't bring all that porn over from X" - Before you ever even heard of BlueSky, sex workers were building this platform. If you don't like it and the moderation settings aren't enough for you, X is still taking signups. 🤷🏾♂️
