TLDR: You're right, turn off all "AI" / "enhanced" features on modern TVs.
Misinfo in replies. Decent TVs have "AI". AI is enhanced technology to do "upscaling" and "motion smoothing". For 720p or higher (streaming, broadcast, or Blu-Ray) I would not use "AI".
Sports or sub 720p, maybe.
